Carl Eugene Bright

June 13, 1934 - November 25, 2017

Talladega- Carl Bright passed away at his home on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was a native of Knoxville, TN but lived the last 45 years in Talladega, AL. Mr. Bright worked as a carpenter his entire life. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and stepfather. We would like to express our gratitude to his care team from New Beacon Hospice that took great care of him these last months. Mr. Bright is survived by his son, Anthony Bright, of Talladega, AL; daughter, Janice McKinion (Terry), of Seymour, TN; sister, Mae Malcolm, of Knoxville, TN; four stepsons: Jerry Davis (Katherine), Dudley Davis, Shane Davis (Michelle), and Jeff Davis (Michelle), all of Talladega; stepdaughters, Dina Johnson, of Moody, AL, and Sharon Traywick (Kevin), of Talladega, AL. He had 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gladys Bright; brothers, Leon and Glenn Bright, great grandson, Lucas Bright; and his wife, Geraldine Bright. He will be buried in Rosebury Cemetery in Knoxville, TN, with a private family service.
